Chair: Emma Donnelly

As health professionals, practitioners and researchers we often work with complex information and topics. Science communication has the role of translating these complex topics for lay audiences, patients, peers and colleagues.

Effective communication is an often under-rated and under-practiced skill that is essential in all workplaces these days.

In this fun and interactive session, you’ll learn about science communication and cover the practical elements required to become a better communicator and presenter. You’ll leave more knowledgeable in specific communication tools that will increase your understanding, improve your skills and in turn boost your confidence. You’ll also have a toolkit to take away with you that you can use into the future.
